.:A Fairys's Tale:.

there was a little fairy. All her life this little fairy had wanted more than anything else in the whole wide world to be a REAL GIRL. For you see even though she knew she was already a Real Girl inside, it was only after a long time of trying to be happy with just being a fairy, and of shedding many fairy tears in hopelessness of ever becoming Real, that the little fairy had to admit in her heart what she had always known she must do. So one night the little fairy went down to her special place out in the beautiful fairy woods, down by the cool stream, under the wise and knowing stars. And the little fairy looked up to the beautiful Moon floating in the sky, so regal and peaceful, and her little fairy heart was filled with such longing that she thought it might break into pieces just then and there. And with this the little fairy wept a special prayer to her compassionate Mother Moon, promising Her that she would be willing to do whatever it takes, if only she could be Real.

The Moon shone brightly, and a cool breeze blew through the trees, and the little stream played its enchanting water music, which seemed to grow louder just for a moment under the stars. But you see there is a special rule for fairies. It is, in fact, the very Second Principle of all Fairy Magic, and the rule is this: "Be Careful What You Wish For". That is because fairy wishes born from the longing in true fairy hearts under the Magical Moon almost always come true.

So time went by, and the world changed. And slowly the little fairy began to change, too. She knew that her special wish was finally coming true, and much sooner and in a very different way than she could have ever imagined. The world spun madly round, and the moon wandered in the sky while the little stream played on its eternal song. And after a while the little fairy's wish was granted. She became a Real Girl at last, even though of course she had been a Real Girl inside her fairy skin all along.

But this is not yet the end of the story. Yes, the world had indeed truly changed in order for the little fairy to change, and the little fairy had changed far more than she ever thought she would. This made the little fairy very happy and filled her heart with peace. Then the time came when the little fairy realized that receiving her wish meant that she could no longer return again to her home in Fairyland. This is because the world is quite different for Real Girls than it is for fairies, even fairies who are already Real Girls inside. So now we see this is why we should always be careful what we wish for. Nevertheless, despite all of this the little fairy was so very happy to be real at last that her tears of joy overflowed. But she would always carry with her the bitter-sweetness of never again being able to visit her secret fairy woods by the little stream, watched over by the majestic Moon, under the twinkling stars.
